Umami Burger, La Brea

850 S. La Brea Ave
Los Angeles CA 90211

It was my sister’s first time at Umami Burger and she ordered the SoCal Burger, above.

“The bun is delicious. So soft … and slightly sweet,” she said after taking her first bite. The SoCal Burger includes
butter lettuce, slow-roasted tomato, house spread, house-made american cheese, caramelized onions atop a 3 ounces patty of exceptionally well-seasoned beef on on soft bun. You can get it for $10.

This was my second visit. The first time I had the Truffle Burger, but this time I ordered The Greenbird, above, because I am a huge avocado lover.

My burger includes a patty of seasoned shelton farms turkey, crushed avocado, green cheese, butter lettuce, sprouts and green goddess sauce.

We paired our burgers with the Malt Liquor Tempura Onion Rings, below, and Smushed Potatoes, bottom. I recommend the onion rings but not the smushed potatoes. They look awful and the taste isn’t great either.
