I was in town for a convention in August and I knew one of the places I’d enjoy trying was Slow’s.

They definitely live up to their name so make sure you have plenty of time for a meal here. If you do their food is certainly worth the wait!

We tried the pork ribs, green beans and fried okra. Magificently tender, deliciously seasoned ribs dripping with sauce.

Brisket and sweet potato hash. The meat was tender, succulent, deliciously seasoned. And the hash was amazing! I’m not a huge sweet potato lover but ordered it because our server suggested it out of all the sides the restaurant offers.

It was spicy, soft, buttery and so tasty that I wanted the recipe or at least a list of ingredients but our server wouldn’t tell me.

What’s a meal of southern BBQ without mac ‘n cheese? Incomplete. So we ordered their decadent, rich version here!
