Katz’s Delicatessen

205 East Houston Street, New York NY | Phone: 212-254-2246

The most incredibly juicy and wonderful pastrami and corned beef sandwich I have ever experienced!

I was incredibly lucky. I ventured out to Katz’s on the day of the 24-hour blizzard when most people had decided to stay away. That meant I had no wait for the “Half and Half” my friend, Krista, told me to try. They let you taste the meat as they slice it for your sandwich. Let me tell you that after the first slice I was already hooked, just wondering how the bite with bread, mustard and meat was going to taste.

Upon entering I got a raffle-ticket like piece of paper. The orders would be recorded there and I would pay the cashier according to my ticket on the way out.

I got the sandwich with pickles and a root beer. Very satisfying!
