I’ve been a fan of Jonathan Waxman ever since I saw him competing on Top Chef Master’s for the title. He serms like an easy-going who happens to be one of the culinary icons of America. Since they don’t even take reservations for lunch, getting a table was easy while dinner reservations were booked up for months!!

I wanted to try his restaurant mainly to try his roasted chicken, above, that I’d heard so much about. On the menu as Pollo Al Forno, I was not disappointed. In fact I was surprised and delighted at how juicy, mist, crispy and flavorful it was. Nobody else has ever topped it!

The chicken was delicious but as a side I ordered a side of greens called verdure, below for $8. It was a mix of greens, garlic, chiles and ricotta salata. Clean, simple, fresh and tasty.

Then I had their version of cookies and cream, below, to top off the meal. Quite good but nothing could compare to the chicken so it paled in comparison.
