Spicy Turkey Chili

Spicy turkey chili with cheese and a dallop of lite sour cream is good eating on a cold day.

What you need:

1 pound of ground turkey

1 diced onion

2 diced bellpeppers

4 diced garlic cloves in oil oil

1 can diced tomatoes

1 can black beans

1 can tomato sauce

1 can tomato paste

3 bay leaves

2 tablespoons chili powder

1/4 cup taco seasoning

salt and pepper to taste

What you do:

1. Saute olive oil, garlic, bell peppers, bay leaves and onions until soft over medium-high heat in a large pot

2. Add turkey and cook until brown

3. Add in taco seasoning, chili powder, salt and pepper

4. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and black beans

5. Cook on low heat for 45 minutes, covered.

6. Taste for seasoning. If the chil looks a little thin for your taste add the tomato paste and cook for another 30 minutes. Enjoy!
