Bathtub Gin & Co.

2205 2nd Ave (between Blanchard Street & Bell Street in Belltown), Seattle, WA 98121, (206) 728-6069
Hours: Monday-Sunday from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m

This is an Old Kentucky Rose cocktail that I had at the Bathtub Gin & Co. in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood. It had bourbon, honey and lavender bitters.

Another cool speakeasy in Seattle. This one was in the Belltown neighborhood. Hidden in the alley off the main thorough faire you’ll find a brass sign with a heavy wood door. There are no other signs or ads that will lead you here…

Swing open the door and it reveals an intimate, sexy hideaway with great bartenders and huge selection of bourbon, gin and whiskey. Your cool factor goes up just by wandering into this place. It’s a great place to meet a friend or to take a date.

It offers unique, well prepared, stiff drinks in a Prohibition inspired, underground style bar. It seats about 20-30 people in two small floors. It’s  always funny and ironic to find a bar with a grundgey hipster vibe/clientele with high end club-esque drink prices.  Nevertheless, the bartenders are skilled and the experience is unique.

The layout of the Bathtub Gin is nice and is a real wise choice for the limited space that they have. When you enter you can walk down a few steps to the main room or take a few steps up and take a chair at the bar. There is not a bad chair in the entire place and if you’re lucky, you might be able to find an open spot in a little side room.

Nice place to kick off a night of drinking!
